Yo, Dena, a question for Honeybun
Dena, I've been grinding my own beef so I can get a lean hamburger. Could you ask "Honeybun" what would be the best cuts for that? I've been using sirloin, and it's pretty good. I find it more flavorful than round, but maybe you can get an expert's opinion on this. Fred

Fred Round or Top sirloin will give you the leanest ground beef, Round would be cheaper, but if you prefer the flavor of sirloin, he says go for it. Those were the two leanest cuts He would recommend. If you were making a large amount (over a few pounds) he said to do both for the best flavor. Hope that helps. Take care Fred Dena
Try Longhorn range fed beef from Tom Thumb, about 4.99 per pound. It is ground. Billy I've been grinding my own beef so I can get a lean hamburger.
