Ya'll are scaring me! LOL
I guess it's not a laughing matter, but it seems that all the young people on here are having a horrible time! Since I'm the youngest one I've seen - it's a bit unsettling. Plus all the horror stories about grafts blocking off - ughhh, I cannot even imagine! Guess I just needed to get that off my chest ;) I hope everyone starts improving and continues to make it back to their very best self! Missy
Missy, The ones who have the worst and longest lasting complications are many times the diabetics due to infection, poor healing. I'm almost 12 wks now and just finally mostly closed my incision and it's not currently infected! Your mom went back or left last week, didn't she? If I recall, that was you! How are you doing with the kids alone? Are you feeling less pain now and doing ok without pain medication or was it very little? Lor I guess it's not a laughing matter, but it seems that all the young people on here are having a horrible time! Since I'm the youngest one I've seen - it's a bit unsettling. Welcome Kim, You didn't barge in on here. You joined just like the rest of us and then came to ask what you needed to and to voice your concerns. That's how most of us come. I haven't been a member for too long myself. I joined at the end of January, as I had my bypass Dec 24th. Our families and friends can sympathize and empathize, but they haven't gone through it, and haven't experienced the pain, shock, anxiety, worries..Everyone's recovery is different from what I've read. Some go back to their normal activities soon after without problems, some have complications which hold them up, and others do relatively well in the beginning and then down the road, start feeling the aches, pains, and limitations. There are many positive stories of people having bypass and living a long and healthy life. It's always helpful to check the archives or search the archives for a particular concern or issue, group files, and there are other bypass groups also, if you'd like to belong to more than one. It's different for everyone. Not everyone has a lot of time. I have had a slow recovery and live pretty isolated, so the groups have been a godsend for me. Lor I am sorry if I just barged on here, and scared anyone.......I certainly did not mean too. I just let it spill all out, and I am very sorry if it was too much. I just have not had anyone to talk too, exceot my husband and I truly think they do not understand unless you go through it. Again, I am very sorry Hope everyone takes care Kim
