Hi Judy, Glad you've received some great information from the group. You'll find the bypassers on this list very helpful during your mom's recovery as well. I am the resident nurse here, and I started this list for just the reason you've come looking for it - to help support patients and families in the process of Bypass surgery. One thing you and your mom may want to do this weekend is review the archives of this list - you'll find a wealth of information there. Somewhere in there I have a post talking about what families can expect immediately after surgery....but I can't find it. I'll look again and forward it to you if I do find it.
