we're new to all of this
Hi all - my name is Linda - my husband is Mike. He just had emergency quadruple bypass surgery a week ago and will be coming home today or tomorrow. Anyone have any suggestions on what to expect i.e. emotions, boredom, pain etc.? I'm a bit on the anxious side, and want to do the best I can for him. Thanks. Linda
He could feel any number of emotions and yes there will be pain and he should have medications for that. Emotionally he might be all over the place, such as, glad to be alive, mad that it happened to him, worried about the future, just hundreds of things. He needs to take it slow, do what he feels like and resting often. You can't push it. Your body will heal at its own pace and he needs to listen to what is body is telling him.
