Waiting for the verdict-Final Report
Not sure where I left off, but will try to recap as best I remember. 5/20-left last day of work early with chest pressure to hospital 5/21-Overnight observation-all test negative-released 5/22-Midnight, back in ER-chest pressure 5/22-Cardio stress test-abnormality?? 5/24-Heart cath-angioplasty-3 stent (in train) in one vein and 1 in another. 5/26-Heart cath-angioplasty-1 stent plus a little vein graft. 5/28-Released from hospital 5/29-Back in Er chest pains-Blood enzyme test indicate elevated troponin levels-minor heart attack. Move to CCU 5/31-Another Heart cath confirms the heart attack 6/1-released from hospital Feel as though I have been rode hard and put to bed wet. Battered and bruised but determined to get back to normal as quickly as possible. Have been approved by Medicare for Cardiac Rehab again based on new conditions. Strangely enough, the CCU stay was really an uplifting experience. All of the staff were extremely attentive and could not do enough for me. Appointment with Doc on Tuesday to see where we go from here. I am still a little fuzzy on what all has transpired but hopefully the doctor will expalin it all so it make more sense to me. Most of this hapened over the holiday weekend and my regular doc off somewhere else, so I had to rely on his cover doctor, who I will say was a pretty savvy guy. ps........thank god for my wife. I am sure she has suffered as much if not more grief over this than I have. what would I do without her. Tom in Tomball, TX pps.........will follow up as things progress. Y'all have a good day.
