Unusual Occurrance follow up & question
Had a visit with my Card last week to followup on the recent hospital stay and Heart Cath test. Still maintians that two of the four are "clotted" as he says. Scheduled me for a Cardiolite Stress Test which I had today. All went well. I went the distance on the treadmill. slightly out of breath but no pain. Have another appointment next week for the test results. As I mentioned previiously that my brother had a CABG four years ago. Well guess who also had his annual stress test today......?? The question I have relates to some of my problems and numerous others who try to get answers from the cardio-doctor as it relates to our CABG operations and the healing process. I have noticed several times that when talking to him, he gets this wide-eyed look, like a deer in the headlight, like he never heard of what I am trying to explain. So my question....Is the cardioligist the right doctor to ask these question to, or is the heart surgeon a better source. Any thoughts...............

Bogie, since you have 2 blocked what did the doctor tell you about why that might happen. I did not have the angiogram to see what blockage I have now but the cardiologist said one of the bypasses could have gotten a kink in it or I could have blockage in arteries that were not bypassed. They bypassed six blockages so I'm not sure how many arteries I have that were not bypassed. From the pictures they gave me seems like most of the main ones have been bypassed. Really would like to know more on why those grafts block up right after surgery and what you can about it. Ann
