Tony Burgers
Hi Barbee your post certainly didnt offend me Hi Tony, I am glad I did not offend you. You really seem to been through a major depression I can identify with everything you said I brought all this shit upon myself as I caused it to happen After 30 yrs of abusing drinking gambling and everything else that came my way It was like a complete breakdown Icouldnt or wouldnt get out of bed for 6 months Not getting out of bed for days and months is a sure sign of depression. My feeling was what the hell is wrong with me My attitude forever changed toward people with mental illness and people just in general I am glad to hear that. So many people with depression are judged as being nuts. It is really out of their control when it is the disease. So many people do not want to learn about depression,. Or those with it are ashamed and will not confide in others because of the fear of being rejected. To say the least it was a humbling experience Im glad It happend to me I used to be a wiseass punk but Im trying to change Im really happy you you talked so bluntly about depression I try to talk about my depression whenever I know others are dealing with it and can use a friendly ear to talk about it with. Someone who will not judge them. Like I said most people who get depressed DO NOT have the disease. They are just in a situation that causes so much stress, that it causes them to get depressed. Usually it does not last long and can be treated with low doses of anti-depressants. Until youve really been through it I dont think you can truly understand it I hope both you and Charlie the best Thank you Tony. By the way Im from new jersey and the governors wife spoke about post-partum depression She said she wanted to put her baby in a microwave It took alot of courage for her to say ! that but I think she wanted to show how serious depression can be Sometimes it takes someone in a famous position to come forward, to get others to understand certain illnesses. I remember when Marie Osmond came forward with her depression. So many people took note. It was like it turned a light bulb on for so many people. I mean, there Marie Osmond was , a famous celebrity and a Mormon. How could she have depression? But it did open the eyes for many. Then a radio host made some disparaging remarks about her and governor Codey went to the radio station and told the radio host he wanted to take him outside I thought that was pretty cool That is way too cool. If you ever want to drop a post on someone Im here Thank you Tony, You do the same. It is wonderful to know that there are people out there who care about others, even when they have never met face to face. Love & Hugs, Barbee LOVE TONY BURGERS
