Better they show their true colors now than when you really get into a bad situation and really need them. It sound like they were offended on some level. I've also found that this kind of behavior when exhibited by the other party is symptomic of something else. Personally, I think that a lot of\ docs don't like giving narcs on an ongoing basis because their affraid (wrongly) that you'll become hooked and or the mere fact that such an ongoing script can raised their malpractic/liability insurance rates. It also says that they care more about protecting their own butt instead of rendering timely assistance to you. Many medical practices and HMOs are fighting to survive financialy. WHEN this happens they will do anything to get dump a patient they consider even vaguely a risk. And they'll come up with many different types of excuses to rationalize their behavior. Its sick. ~~~The conventional wisdom and accepted facts are dead wrong! ~~~Don't go for second best, it's never good enough!
