Stroke Question

I saw that someone has had a migraie related stroke. I'm sorry but I've never heard of that. Can you tell me more about it? Do people with migraines have a higher risk of stroke? I went to the ER with stroke symptoms once and they told me I'd regained functional use of me extremities to the extent that within the given period of time (don't recall what that was) it ruled out a stroke and was probably just a drug reaction. Anyway, I've always wondered with all that pain in my head what damage could be done up there. :/ Anyone care to tell me what I'm at risk for? Like I said, I've been having migraines for over 10 years but I've only recently sought treatment (long story). I go to the new doctor this afternoon and I've had so many bad experiences that I'm a bit nervous about it. Thanks again for all your tips and advice. I plan to put much of it to use. Melody

The migraine and stroke potential is a controversial area. I've heard of studys for and aginst. One point that they seem to agree upon is as you get older you are at potentially increased risk. ~~~The conventional wisdom and accepted facts are dead wrong! ~~~Don't go for second best, it's never good enough!
