stent card
Does anyone out there have a stent card? Someone from the HeartLove group says her husband didn't get one and she wants to know what it is and what it is for. Thanks. Dottie Evidently his doctor is not too cooperative.

Sorry, I misread the request for the stent card. His doctor was unhappy that the hospital did not give the patient a stent card. Is it a notification card to let people know you have a stent - like an I.D. for diabetes or asthma? If it weren't the weekend I would have called my husband's cardiologist. Dottie
O.K. I just found out that the stent card is an I.D. for where the stent is placed, and also contains everything about the operation, so that if anything happens anywhere, medical personnel will see the card in the patient's wallet and know what to do. It is to be carried all the time, just like nitro. Thanks anyway. Dottie
Hello My stent was put in Indy, IN about 2 ½ years ago. Was not given info to take home from the hospital. Wonder if even my heart doc remembers. The stent was not put in until about a year after my 6 way bypass. Now am living in Zephyrhills, FL. So would have to remind anyone here of the stent. Don't even know if the stent is still there now. About the exercise. I have exercised 40 minutes for 6 days a week. Either swim, walk or bicycle. Started the exercise program when in rehab after the bypasses. Definitely think this helps with the depression. And helps control the CHF and weight. Seems that my self feeling is better after I exercise. And exercise is not what I look forward to every day. Makes the day a better day for me. This is a great group. Prayers for all. Susan/Zephyrhills, FL
