Sleeping Problems
I had a 5, done on 7/1/04. I have a sleeping problem, I sleep one night and then the next night I can't find a place for myself and I am up the whole night. The next day I am exhusted and have trouble working or doing anything by afternoon. I work out every morning for one hour except on Sunday, either at the gym or the pool( I live in South Florida) The only other problem is the leg swelling in the leg, mostly the ankle. I would appreciate talking to anyone who has ideas for me. I think this group is a great sounding board. I did go to a meeting for the Mended Hearts, but most of the people there were in the 70's, no young people. Linda Posnick lindapos@...
Hi Ms. Linda. I had a 4X, 12SE03. Sleep is my second biggest problem. First being that 2 out of 4 bypasses are blocked. Second is..SLEEP.I'm a 47 yr old male, wife,2kids. I get so darn tired that it's sometimes a danger for me to drive. It forces me to take a morning off, just to sleep in for a couple. It happens once every 2 weeks. At night I wake up 3 times. I go to bed at 11pm and I'm up for work at 4:25am. I believe it's cutting into my health. I spark when I know another person in their 30-40's,has a heart problem such as ours. It's NOT supposed to happen yet. Good Luck to ya. Please and Thanx, Bogie
Hey Linda! one night and then the next night I can't find a place for myself and I am up the whole night. I've been in that cycle. I would have trouble falling asleep, but after three/four hours of restless sleep, would finally get into a deep sleep and didn't want to awaken. Sleep inertia? I tried Ambien, but it only made me sleep longer, and didn't help the getting to sleep part. And yet I can fall asleep for 15 minutes anytime I'm in a recliner. I still periodically have problems getting to sleep. ankle. I also had a 5x, and they took leg veins from both sides. You too? But I only had a swelling problem on my right leg, which went away 7 months later. 10 mg Furosemide (Lasix) kept in in control, which is a very small dose. people there were in the 70's, no young people. I'm 49. I was 46 when "it" happened. In rehab, there was this 83 year old woman that told me she hated the earlier classes because the people in it were so OLD. I'm glad to have found this group as well.
