Pump Head
OK every one: I just looked up Pumphead. I have got it bad. No wounder I talk like an idiot on here. My poor wife thought I was going crazy. The hospital I went to is a teaching hospital and they do bypass surgerys on an assembly line basis. I was a No. and not a person.Since the state paid for my opperation I was rushed in and out and not given the best care. I was left all alone in my room and had to call a nurse if I needed anything. My wife did more work than the nurses did. The last day a doctor came in and pulled out all my tubes and said you can go home now and left me. It is a good thing I have a medical background or I would have been in deep shit. Please take my pumphead into consideration when I post. Steve
When I was 18 I started a rock and roal band. I played lead guitar, Base guitar and keyboard and piano. Music was my life. After my surgery I cannot remember where the notes are. I can play only the simpleest of things very slowley. My head hurts like hell when I try to remember all the songs. My fingers are lost, they don`t know where to go. I used to be able to play every song on the raido. Now it brings tears to my eyes when I listen to the recordings that I made as a young man. I used to draw large crouds when I played at GEM BEACH on Lake Erie. It does not look like this talent is going to come back. Steve
I read most of the post but not all of them and I have seen the term pump head used numerous times yet I am still not exactly sure what it is and does it come and go or is it something permanent?? also what is the cause of it. Thank You Tom(hobo)
Thanks Rus, I do think the surgery does different things to each of us. I supposed that after 2 years this is how I will be. Just hoping I don't get worse any time soon. I do forget names but its usually like the names of actors in movies I've seen. With friends and family I seem to remember. I am dyslexic so I know that has something to do with how I am but it is just so different now than before the bypass surgery. Just the backward thinking is frustrating but I have learned to compensate for it. I think its harder to do now but maybe its my age and not the surgery. Thanks for sharing. Ann
I thought that was just a husband affliction around their wife. Connie Rus Adkins <rusman44@... "like having selective hearing loss, you can hear what you want otherwise just feign deafness. LOL" Connie Turner
