O/T Stormy in Texas & little critters...

Good morning all! After a beautiful sunny warm first day of SPRING, the weather turned stormy to start off the week here in Texas! When I went outside to get the newspaper at 4:45 AM, the sky was lighting up with displays of lightning and rolling thunder, and the smell of rain was so heavy in the air. At 5AM the heavens broke open with not only the rain, but HAIL! It came down so hard and fast you couldn't see the rain! And now the yard looks like it's covered in snow. So much for all my plants....they probably got beaten down. But the tomato plants I planted have been disappearing at a rate of one a night anyway. I don't know what little critter is doing it, but I've had 3 gnawed to the ground, stripped of leaves, and the stalk carried away! No footprints in the large pots of soil. I plant these every year, and it's never happened before! I can't figure out if it's squirrels, raccoons, or oppossums doing it. Never seen any rabbits around here, but we do have plenty of the other 3 little critters. They are also gnawing on the bark of my lemon tree (it's potted also), and stripping it of leaves. Hope everyone has a good week Hope to hear that Gail is doing better today, and that Bogie's familiy is on the mend too. Connie
