What is a home helth nurce, I did not get one. I took care of my self with the help of my wife. When my wife broke her back and was opperated on to remove bone fragments she was released into my care 3 hours after surgery. I had to bathe her, change her dressings, dress her and teach her how to use her leg again. I even removed her staples after 10 days. She broke her back at L1-S1 and her left leg was paralised. It was pinching her siatic nerve. All the local doctors know me and my skills from being an EMT and felt that I could do the job since I had no insurance. As soon as I got her home we were hit with a downpoor, our basement flooded. The sewer had backed up and you can emagine what was floating in my basement.When the water ran out I had to scrub the basement out and bleach it. I had to take the burner out of the hot water tank and clean it and relight the tank. When I was done I had to stand outside naked and take a shower with the garden hose.I then poured 2 quarts of alcohol over my body to kill all germs. I then put batadine on my hands and arms before I could tend to my wife. This is the kind of stress that caused my bypass. Steve
