New to Group - Looking for buddies

Hi Everyone, I'm Missy and I'm 34 years old. I just had a double bypass done on 2-24-06 (the day after my birthday). I'm still in somewhat of a shock mode, I suppose. I'd been experiencing extreme fatigue, left arm pain, jaw pain, chest discomfort, etc for a few months. Having a history of panic disorder, I sorta blew off all the symptoms, especially because of my age. Luckily, I work for a physician and he did an EKG which came back abnormal - he recommended seeing a cardiologist as a precaution. I have the stress test, which I fail, the nuclear stress test, which I fail- then the heart cath is ordered last Wed, shows 2 blockages - I have open heart surgery on Friday. I was a smoker (had my last one the morning of my cath) and am overweight. Nothing else - no family history, cholesterol levels are good - so I'm still in disbelief. I think I'm recovering pretty well - my age is on my side. Emotionally, I'm a wreck - just scared and anxious about everything. I have a 16 year old son and a 2 year old daughter so they are giving me lots of strength. Thankfully, my wonderful mother is here helping out. I also have a terrific husband who has been a great support. I'm just looking for some positive stories here, some fellow people on this same journey - looking forward to getting to know you. Any advice/suggestions are welcome! Missy
