New Study (on pump better than off pump?)

I have scheduled my triple bypass for the last week in June. My vascular surgeon, who just put a stent in my carotid artery in order to get me in shape for the bypass which will replace two year old clgged stents in my heart, told me about a new study that shows that on pump bypass surgery has less problems with the arteries than off pump. This study was done in England. Another recent less publizied study that was recently done at Emory showed that the two methods produced the same results as far as problems with the arteries were concerned. There has been no new studies that I can find which say that off pump surgery produces the pumphead effect. I suspect my surgeon, Dr Cooper of Emory, who has a long term success rate with off pump surgery will want to do off pump on me. IF anyone has any more information on this subject, or hears any news in the next month, please let me know.
