meds...
With meds, migraine triggers, you-name-it, the thing to keep in mind is that when it comes to physiology, no one is created equal. Even different formulations of the same meds will affect different people differently. Too bad the doctors don't realize that what works works and what doesn't should be abandoned -- for *each* patient. Too many drug salesmen and docs that don't read the literature for themselves... ****** That's probably the most accurate statement I'll hear today! I recall when I kept asking my PCP about Imetrix, it was doing ok in Canada not approved in the States yet. He knew nothing about it. When I was finally able to get an RX for it he still didn't tell me anything about it in regards to side effects or how to inject it. A few years later after Zomig had been out awhile I asked about that & he was very accomodating. He had SAMPLES! I do believe whatever drug the salespeople are pushing that month is the one the Dr will be gungho about. I know there are exceptions & some of you have found very competent & understanding Drs- many of us are still hoping & searching for that (as much as our HMO will allow!?) Enjoy your day ~Lyn~
