Makes you want to go hmmmmmmm !

Sure. Why not? But they should also start posting warnings about placebos according to those tests. The more important point is that no such warning label is required for the concoction they're selling. Warning: Use of this product could be hazardous to your wallet! They've as much as said you should take this witch's brew instead of Lipitor, but they present no studies at all or even a specific ingredients list. I'll stick to my generic Lovastatin for now, thanks. At least we have an idea what it does - good or bad.

Sort of. Actually his 'heart disease' was mostly undiagnosed - in 1957 they couldn't tell him much except to 'take it easy'. There was no complete workup prior to him starting his *very* stringent low-fat diet. The <10% fat he was eating would drive a lot of us crazy - compare to Weight Watcher's 30% or today's popular Atkin's high-fat diet. There's also no evidence his strict diet ever helped his cancer either, and he died at the tender age of 69 despite being the founding member of his Longevity Center. Most people will live longer than that even with the awful western diets. Still, he was a great help in pointing out the nasty nature of the western diet and our lack of activity. One can only speculate how much more he would have enjoyed his later years if he'd had good statins to reduce his cholesterol instead of having to eat that awfully strict diet to do it.
