Tha tube in your jugular vein has a small sencor in it . It is there to monitor your heart rate, blood pressure and to give meds to keep you asleep while they are operating.This way they don`t have to keep taking your blood pressure while you are under. As for the wires. Your heart is restarted before they put you back togather. They put the wires in to restart the heart if it stops after they have sown you up.If the wires were not in there and your heart stops they will have to use the paddles on you. Using the paddles makes your whole body jump and could cause more damage. Steve
