Its the Decongestants...
Its the decongestants in cold preparations, as I understand, which can cause heart patients a problem. Not the cough suppressants alone; Very likely caused me to have some runs of a-fib (atrial fibrillation) - possibly the decongestants act as vasoconstrictors (causes the veins / arteries to close down a bit) .
