It was at 2 weeks and then again at 4 weeks for me and then at 2 months. After that it was 6 months and is still 6 months, 3 1/2 years later. Getting old now. They do an ekg, stress test every other time, chest x-ray everytime and of course weigh you and ask how you are feeling. Oh, all the blood work everytime also. Guess if you are not having any problems then 4 weeks might be ok. I was in cardiac rehab and that had to be coordinated with the cardiologist so maybe that's why, I started the cardio at 2 weeks and finished at 8 weeks. It was really good. We had exercises while being monitored and a class on what to eat and how to take care of yourself three times a week. Really got a lot of good information from that. Ann
Really sounds like you are doing good. Know the soreness is not an easy thing to live with and I surely hope it goes away soon. It did take me almost 2 years to get over the chest pains and I had just about decided it would be with me from now on and then one day I just realized that it was gone. Now I still have achy days especially when the weather changes. The heat really doesn't bother me but the cold surely does. We are all so different and yet similar in our healing. If you can walk for 25 minutes or more, I bet your doctor would think that is pretty good. We usually walk about 20 minutes one direction and then go back. We can ride our bikes for an hour or more but we go slow and just ride more for pleasure than exercise. What I understand is staying active is very critical to a good quality of life and that is really what I want. As long as I can be active then I can enjoy living. Take care, Ann
