Holidays are stressful
Look guys the holidays can be a very stressful time for all of us due to do the health problems we have. We all lose it sometimes and our minds do work different now because of the by pass. I've heard and read about it called pump head. And it effects us all in different ways. Steve, Tony apologized and we'd all hate to lose you as part of our family we have here. Getting off topic is also caused by pump head effect. Don't take it as a personal attack by anyone, they are just trying to help. Some folks here tell jokes and kid and that is OT but it is accepted practice. Give us all some time to adjust and remember we all need each others support, thats why we're here. I'll stop now because the pumphead affect has made me somewhat anal and has caused be to be depressed. And on top of that the meds for the depresssion has made me impotent. Talk about be pissed off. When I get home this even my daughter will be gone for 4 hours and I got a big hint, this morning, from my wife about some extracarricular (sp) activity and I really am worried about that. Is Sex off or on topic? For me its off I guess. :( What was I talking about? Oh yeah, we're all one big family. Let's work thru this. This is 2 good a board to cause it to break down. rus, you ask a question this important, yet seldom discussed, about stress reduction, the old fashion way. my cardio said to give it time, and just be careful. unless you are married to anna nicole, you should be able to participate within a few months of the op. of course you ought to discuss this with the doc. when it is time, he will let you know. as to the 'limp biscuit', your partner may have to play a more active role. the meds can and do screw up you system, i had to get a script for one of those viagra type meds. some of the problem may be....afraid to stress the body, again...check with your doc. sex is a good stress reliever, and the exercise is very good, more fun than walking.
Rus, my husband went with me to the physch. The physch asked him questions and sometimes would have him wait in the waiting area and would talk to me and then go get him to double check what I was saying or to see if my husband felt the same way about my progress as I did. He always did this in front of me so there were no surprises. Ann
