Hi, new member with questions
My dh (44yo)had bypass surgery(4 bypasses) last Sunday, he finally came home yesterday(had problems with fluid in the lungs)..I am pretty scared as I dont know what is normal pain and whats not.He still has pretty bad chest pain and coughing alot.Today he had a coughing fit and said he felt something pop really hard. It wasnt real painful but he is pretty concerned..Anyone have any ideas? Also he is very bloated(his stomach) and has alot of fluid in his legs, is this normal? Im sorry for the questions, there is noone to talk too and we live an hour from the hospital so that makes it scary too...Thanks Cece
Well I ended up taking back to the hospital yesterday, he was having trouble breathing.He has a slight temp. and was actually doing really good this morning..THEN he coughed and bust open his incision..GOD this was the scariest thing yet.I was in the room and it was gushing blood from about an inch of open incision..They transfured him up to Topeka again and Im just about wore out,dont know how much more of this I can take...This just sucks....
Hi, I'm sorry to hear that he's had another complication. There have been quite a few around that have had things like this happen, along with sternum infections. It's a definite setback and I know it's draining and worrisome for you. Is this hospital far from where you live? Will you be going back and forth or do you have a place to stay that's closer? Try to get some rest when you're home, if you can.
