Found out needed bypass
I just got back from the hospital and thought I would just need a stent like I had about 6 years ago, now they said the stents wouldn't really help, and I needed a by pass. I go back Friday for the bypass since I didn't have a HA. I've got the shit scared out of me and the Cardiolgist and surgeon said it would be invasive, becsause of the angiogram. Things are blur, but they said something about 5 days or so in the Hospital and them rehab after about 4 weeks then I could probably be back at workin 8 weeks. I just found this group and luckily I can search the net for some stuff on what to expect. What have you all had to face. Scared Shitless Keltz8
Hi Keltz Its very normal to be scared. Most of us are and afterward too.. It takes time. Each of our experiences are different but the same. I know that sounds stupid but thats the great thing about this board. Please look at past posts. For me I had a 4x plus the right caroid artery done. I was so scared I was speachless when they told me. I also did not have a ha. The first 48 hours for me was the worse...I was in the hospital a week. I also had Dresslers Syndrom with mega ton upper back pain. This may or may NOT happen to you. Also depression is common. I take a anti depressant to this day. Im the same as Ann....I have to learn to live with things. but the good news is Im alive to type this. I went back to work after 6 months but again thats individual. Some are back as soon as 6 weeks. I hope this helps Stannis
