Exercising

What do you all do for exercise? I didn't go to cardiac rehab and the docs didn't think it was necessary. In retrospect, I wish I had. Is there anything I should be doing besides walking and regular daily household activities? Is it safe to do Nautilus, play racquetball, and the like? I was never very athletic, and I've no idea what I ought to be doing to increase my odds of staying healthy, beyond the get exercise, eat a low fat diet, take your meds stuff. Thanks for your advice, Aileen

Warren, I ordered the book from the library just now. Thank you so much for recommending it. Aileen

Hi Ed, A Pilates exercise ball is a great idea! It's something I can use at home, which makes it perfect. I homeschool my kids, so if I want to go anywhere without them in tow, I have to find a sitter, which isn't easy. Both of my regulars retired and moved to Florida. I wish I could join them, it's so cold here in Mass. I'll sure be glad when the weather warms up. We have a Collie who loves to go for long walks -- he's up for it now, but I am not. I suppose I could get off my duff and brave the cold for 15 minutes at a time, though. Take care, Aileen
