Most attorneys that deal with Soc Security do not charge you a fee until you are awarded your disability. They get a certain percent of your award. got my disability too had to hire lawyer for i found out that if you have hearings the judge will not talk to you with out one also beware they take 25% plus cost they got 2600 and now i still have to pay balance of 224.00 which is unfair for 18 months i fought for my disability and when i got hearing i hired the lawyer spent 2 months on my case i did all the work oh yeah and by the way you have to pay taxes on certain amount of money even the money that they send to your lawyer. just fyi good health to all.mo
