Cheryl, It makes me so sad, to read what you say: I wouldn't be depressed if Social Security would give me money. Do you really think that is what is causing your depression? Every American has paid into the SS, but not everyone deserves to have it before Age 61-65. They do have to seperate the lying people from the people that really need it. Don't get me wrong, you and all the others here who have undergone By-pass deserve to get SS. We are alive, which we should be thakful for, the miracles that the Drs perform, to save our lives. Probably none of us would be able to put in a 40 hour or more week of work. I know I could not, when would I take my naps....lol I'd like you just to step back a sec, realize what your depression is about, you deserve a chance to live and YOU got it, as all of us have! You won't be able to fight with SS, and convince your lawyers and drs, unless you believe in your self and know your limitations. A attitude adjustment is in order. the AA list is some from Joan Londin from Good Morning America - Attitude Adjustment....and you will succeed !!! Take care, Donna
