difficulties
Went into the ER today because of 6-day-old migraine and high blood pressure. I normally have dangerously low blood pressure, but I take an MAOI antidepressant and they can cause very high BP. So the ER said I was having a hypertensive crisis so I stayed the night and got drugs and IVs and a bunch of student docs staring at me (since I'm so unusual). So now I cant take my antidepressant anymore, which was a big part of my migraine treatment.
Alli, What a horrible time. How frustrating, I know how it feels to be "unusual"! Good luck, hang in there! Michelle in IA
Hi Alli, I hope you're feeling better today! I was knocked out all day and night by my antidepressant, which means I missed school (again) and can't take it. There are many antidepressants out there so I hope you find one that works! Having those annoying little doctor wannabes staring at you is no fun either! None of them will ever talk to me like i"m a human being, I've also been stuck in the "unusual" category! Be well!
