DHE IV Treatment
Martha, How could you stand so many DHE-45 IV treatments? I have only had one and I thought it was the most terrible experience I have ever endured. I had a terrible migraine. The neuro resident on duty was dinking around doing whatever and did not respond very quickly to my pleas to do something about my migraine - give me shot of whatever or kill me or something. Has anyone had the DHE IV treatment? I'm supposed to go tomorrow on an outpatient basis. How long does the treatment take? Does someone need to drive you home? How do you feel afterwards? Becky
for me it depends on the migraine sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't melissa Midrin for me feels like Tylenol, Doesnt do much for me. Jennifer
becky have you been having one continuous migraine and they are going to try and break it with the DHE? im just wondering because its not the kind of stuff that is a treatment so to speak, you wouldn't get it day after day..just once in a while. does that make any sense? i had it once in the er, i was desperate to try anything..had this horrible migraine for 36 hours. not to scare you off but i totally freaked out on it. i was kind of hallucinating and was screaming for them to take the IV out of my arm. i remember us talking about DHE on our group months and months ago. i could have sworn someone said it is a derivative of a hallucinogen but i can't remember the name of it. ask your doctor about it. i hope it works for you, it seems to be sucessful for many people.
