I went to a psychiatrist that specializes in depression after a traumatic even like surgery and he mostly sees patients 60 and over. I take prozac and it seemed to help some even though I still feel depressed at times especially because of the constant pain and my stomach's inability to tolerate advil. Depression probably goes with this type of surgery most of the time. My dr. had someone evaluate me while I was in the hospital and then I was able to continue seeing someone after that for a couple of months. Ann
