Cough & Lasix

Well, I have been taking the additional 40mg of Lasix since Tuesday and I do not see any change in the cough. I thought it was a far fetched idea from the beginning but respect my cardiologist and gave it a try. I still think it has to be an allergic reaction to one of the medications I am taking. I will call him today and report as instructed and see what says. I have been experiencing some chest discomfort the past few days. It is when I bend over to do stuff and stand back up, then I get this pain in the right side of my chest near the incision. I goes away quickly but it is painfull enough to get my attention. Has anyone else experienced this? Well, it's Friday and I am headed to work. Have a great day! Barb

Hi, I am new to this post, but I have started a new group for Heart Disease (HEART-NO-RX). My background is primarily in teaching Pharmacology, and I know a lot of people are frustrated with the answers that they get from their doctors about drugs. The real problem is that the people that teach the Dr's about drugs are business students, for the most part, that are trained to only put the drugs in their best light, and white wash the side effects. (i.e. the cough the is produced by drugs in the ACE inhibitor class, like Vasotec, Capoten, ect ). My web site, (apothecarylabs.com) may help people better understand the drugs there are taking, along with new theories on how to treat Heart Disease. I have posted many of my lectures on the web site, and since I don't work for any drug companies, my facts are just that, FACTS, not hype. My interest in heart disease has to do with my family history of early onset around the age of 30, and having little quality of life from that point on. Their life span is shortened to not live usually past 60. (I have also developed a supplement for my family, so you will see it on the site, but that is not my hidden agenda.) I am an educator first, and am trying to give people good solid scientific information, not hype. I hope this information helps you and others like you. Feel free to post any questions on the new group or E-mail me at tgmessler@... or tim@... Or you could just reply to this group and I will see it. Hoping you maintain good health. Professor Tim
