chinese herbs
Hi~ hope somebody can help me here...I was given a bottle of 200 small round pills that are Chinese Herbs for Migraine. This is from an Accupunturist. It is called Chuan Xiong Cha Tiao Wan. I'm all for trying a natural approach & have tried many herbs but not sure about this. Sound familar to any one? She said to take 8 at the onset, no caffeine, then 8 more every 2 hours til the migraine is gone! I'm a bit leary to say the least. Thanks. ~Lyn~

Unfortunately herbals are not regulated and could very well interract with any other medications you take. I would try to go to a website that has info on herbals before taking it. Currently I am using Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, available at Walgreens, Walmart etc.....it is for vascular tone and it also helps with weight. Basically it's fish oil tabs. Anytime you add herbals or vitamin supplements, please check with your doc and your pharmacist...pharmacists are generally more knowledgeable about supplements. Let me know how this turns out! Good luck. Hugs from Jan
Currently I am using ~*~*~*~* Hi Jan~ I did find a couple Chinese Herb sites but nothing specific about these ingredients. I'll have to Search by individual herb. My 14 year old Shih Tzu gets Omega 3 fish oil capsules twice a day opened on her food. A study at Tufts showed improved heart muscle mass in dogs with Congestive Heart Failure. This, along with the *real* food I cook for her, has kept her from losing weight & becoming wasted & lethargic. When I asked my Vet about it a year ago she said "why not, it wouldn't hurt & could help". ~Lyn~
