I did not know you had a child Cathy. I love kids :-) I went over to my friends to have her help me with a DHE shot that I had not been trained to use. She has a 2 1/2 year old and a 10 month old. The older one her daughter Taylor was so excited to see me. I had a horrible migraine but she wanted to play and she was jumping up infront of me, playing patty cake ...... I love her dearly so I decided to just give up and take the pain meds so I could play with her :-) All of you that have children and operate with migraines are very brave and should get the best parents awards :-) I don't know that I could handle a child right now. Hope everyone is having a good day :-) Shannon

I have a 10 year old daughter, and she's sooo quiet and helpful when I have a migraine. She has started to get them as well! =( I hope she never has them as bad as I do. Kids can be a handful during a migraine. Mine has always been very understanding and good while I was resting. =) Diane

LMAO... I know my dog is a pain sometimes... he has been better. I think he knows when I have a headache. Right now I have my dog who is just over 1, he is a Siberian husky and his name is Haus. And for the last few weeks I have had my moms dog Charlie who is 2 1/2 years and is a pain in the butt. Haus will get bored and come and nudge me ... bring slobbery toys and put them on me. But he is really a good dog. He does not chew things or get into garbage or even try to leave the house. He is very vocal so if I tell him no he will yell at me and argue. Okay sorry so long I just love my puppy. :-) Shannon

Thank you very much Shannon. It is very hard sometimes. I can remember once when Jordan (who is now 10.5 months) was about 1-2 months and still breastfeeding. I had a terrible migraine. The first one since his birth. It was so bad I couldn't stop vomiting long enough to nurse him. I sat on the side of the bed and breastfed him while I got sick in a trash can beside me. He was allergic to dairy and wouldn't drink soy. (therefore I couldn't have DH give him a bottle). I had no choice but to nurse him. This went on for almost two days. For the most part I'm very lucky because he is a terrific baby and hardly ever fusses. On the mornings that I'm too sick to get out of bed he's content to have a bottle and go back to sleep until my Mom can get here to help. At the same time it's hard to be a good Mommy and be spaced out on painkillers too. I think we've found a happy medium right ow. I'm using the patches which only release a small amount of Fentanyl into my body throughout the day. This allows me to be on my toes most of the time. The first 24 hours after applying the patch I have to be more careful than the rest of the time but, I'm happier than I've been in a long while. Having all of you to support me helps too. Thank you all! Maggie

Maggie - I am so glad your doc gave you more of those patches :-) I wish your tyroid would calm down but since it won't you need the good drugs :-) Shannon
