Chest Pains
It's been 19 months since they split me open, all in all I'm feeling pretty good. Today I put a 5 gallon water bottle on the water cooler, as I was hoisting it up,it slipped, I caught it without spilling any,but my chest really is sore tonight. I'm wondering if I may have twisted a wire, or whatever it is that they put in there to hold you together till you heal. I hate to go to the hosptial, because once they get you back into the system, they don't like to let you go. I'll be 67 on Dec. 19th, and I will not be sawed open again. I'm still alive and kicking, but this has been one helluva 19 months. Have any of you had trouble with your wires, clips, whatever, and what is involved if a wire gets damaged. Thanks for any info. Good health to all.....Mac
I don't think you need to be lifting 5 gal bottles of water. Let someone else in the office do that. But then again, I'm not suppose to be vacuuming..and I am. Got caught with company dropping by, and....just couldn't get caught with the carpets so dirty. Hubby has only done them 4 times in 3 months! In fact, he just walked in and caught me doing it....and stood there and watched me! So, we do what we have to do when not offered help. But if someone else can/will do it, let them. I'm only 3 months out so don't know personally about the wires. I am having complications that may require something else being done. Awaiting test results...and STAT referrals. I did meet a man who had had a bypass and was involved in an auto accident afterwards. His wires break off and work their way to the surface of the skin causing angry boils/infections. I have the same problem with the surgical threads. So, yes....I think it's possible that you might have broken a wire and be sore. I wouldn't hesitate to get it checked out if the soreness continued though. Good luck and take care. Connie W Mac <maclu@... Your bones start to knit immediately and at a year and a half the wires should have little to do with anything anymore. Probably just a strain; I do our water jugs all the time.
