Hi Ann, I'm on 500mg twice daily. So my total dosage is higher but this way it is spread out*. I realized after my surgery what a shallow breather I was (am). I had sort of ignored it before but I remember thinking that I had to remind myself to breathe. Now I realize that I need to do these exercises if I want to breathe (yet here I am on the computer holding my breath sometimes). *Maybe you could try splitting your pill in half. Thanks for the information. I go to the doctor again in April and if I'm still taking the pain medicine I will ask. Also I can call his physician assistant and ask about it if the pain gets worse. Sometimes I think I should learn to put up with it. Each day I get older so maybe the pain goes with it. I sure would love the feeling I had before the surgery though. Just hope I did the right thing agreeing to it. Too late to cry over spilled milk now, huh. Ann
