Arm artery harvesting.
I'm just curious. How many people have had the artery from their arm used for bypass. It is a relatively new development. I had my surgery in Feb '02. I went to the hospital a few months later for pleural effusion. The nurse there said that she had read about using the radial artery but that I was the first person she had seen that had that done. Is this fairly routine now? Ken
i had the mammary artery used it didnt cause me any problems.as a matter of fact i had surgery on mon and was home on thursday.i had surgery in b'ham ala and live in michigan.so i traveled a long way.all of my problems came later.the only time my chest hurt was when i didnt wear support,after all the staples clamps and stitches were out that wasnt a problem i bought support bras and havent been bothered since robyn Children from broken homes,should not have to live broken lives.GOD never looses track of his children.Children spell love: T-I-M-E.
