another missed day

Hi Michelle! I can truly relate to what you said in your note. I used to work at a place where they always looked at me cross-eyed when I called in sick. They never believed me, nor did they want to! They always said that I could make it in if I really wanted to do a good job. The guilt and misery I went through was horrible and unfair. If they could only have experienced ONE of my migraines!! I am lucky now to be working at a place that understands when you don't feel well and that it is not something you do on purpose. But I have a part-time job teaching where the students (some of them) treat me like a criminal if I have to miss a class. People do have a hard time understanding someone who is not in perfect health. It does make you feel very much alone. Just remember you are NOT alone! We understand! As I said, I surely can relate to how you are feeling. And it is a lousy way to have to feel. Not fun! I wish you some peace in the midst of this. I also hope that you can feel better soon and have some nice days. Good luck with your job and clients. Always come back here and talk to us so you don't feel so alone. Know that others do experience some of the same things. Sue, in Westchester County, New York - (just north of NYC)
