Does anyone here know if it is ok to shovel the snow - 5 months since bypass, can't get into ask the doctor today so I thought I'd find out what you know and if you have tried. Gail

As with anything, moderation is the key. Listen to your body and don't push it. Fact is, because we're all so aware - and many have clear veins - we're much safer shoveling than a lot of people. Then again it's a question of priorities. Post-op I had no problem shelling out $800 for a good snow thrower! Still lots of shoveling to do though.
Hi Gail, We have snow here too, and there is no way I will shovel it, except perhaps the front stoop. I am too afraid something bad will happen to me. Aileen
Yes, snow can be very heavy. So far, the one benefit to CABG is that I don't have to shovel snow. Not that I did much of that anyway, but now I'm a guilt-free lazybones! Aileen
